Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of KnitSnap (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About the Service
KnitSnap is an iOS mobile application that lets users document their knitting project progress and compose project information overlays onto photographs. The App runs entirely on the user's device and does not require account registration or external server connections.
2. Eligibility
The App is available free of charge to anyone aged 13 or older. If you cannot agree to these Terms, or if your use of the App is restricted by applicable law in your country of residence, please do not use the App.
3. User Responsibilities
- You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes.
- The following actions are prohibited:
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, modifying, or creating derivative works of the App without authorization
- Bypassing or attempting to disable any security feature of the App
- Attempting to circumvent the in-app purchase system through fraudulent means
- Using the App in any way that infringes on the rights of others or violates applicable law
- You are solely responsible for any content (project information, photos, etc.) you input or compose using the App.
4. In-App Purchases (IAP)
- The App offers a Non-Consumable in-app purchase called "Remove Ads". Once purchased, it is permanently applied across all devices signed in with the same Apple ID.
- All payments are processed through the Apple App Store and StoreKit. The App does not collect or store payment information (e.g., credit card numbers, billing addresses).
- Pricing follows the amount displayed in the App Store and may vary by country and currency.
- You can restore previous purchases made with the same Apple ID using the "Restore Purchase" feature.
5. Refund Policy
- Refunds for in-app purchases are processed under Apple's refund policy. Because the developer does not directly handle payments, we cannot issue refunds ourselves.
- To request a refund, please submit your request directly at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Apple generally permits refunds within 90 days of purchase if there is a reasonable cause; the final decision is at Apple's discretion.
- If you believe a refund is warranted due to a defect in the App, please contact us at the email address in §11. We will cooperate with Apple to facilitate the refund.
6. Advertising
The App is provided free of charge and may display advertisements through Google AdMob to support its operation. For details on ad-related data processing, see the Privacy Policy. Users who purchase the "Remove Ads" in-app purchase will not see banner advertisements.
7. Intellectual Property
- All copyrights and other intellectual property rights in the App and its code, design, graphics, text, and other materials belong to the KnitSnap developer.
- You retain all rights to the content you input into the App (project information, photos, notes, etc.). The App does not claim any rights over such content and does not transmit or share it externally.
8. Availability and Changes
- The developer may add, modify, or discontinue features of the App without prior notice.
- Some features may be limited due to iOS version updates, third-party SDK changes, or other technical reasons.
- If the App is permanently discontinued, reasonable advance notice will be provided through the Notices page.
9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
- The App is provided "AS-IS", without any express or implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or completeness.
- To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including data loss) arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App.
- You are responsible for backing up any photos or data you input or import. The developer is not responsible for data loss caused by uninstalling the App or changing devices.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. In the event of a dispute, both parties shall first attempt to resolve the matter in good faith. If resolution cannot be reached, the matter may be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
11. Changes to These Terms
If these Terms are updated, changes will be posted on this page. For significant changes, additional notice will be provided through the App's in-app notices. The updated Terms take effect from the time of posting; continued use of the App after such posting constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
